FREE PLANNER TEMPLATE: Cultivating JOY Daily / Weekly / Monthly
Are there days you find it difficult to find joy? There are days when getting out of bed seems unlikely. Or getting through a tough work meeting seems dreadful. Or maybe your mood is just out of whack. Then there are days when you are on it. Your mind is sharp. You’re ready to get on your goals and achieve them.
For me, there is about a week out of every month where my energy is low and my mood is crummy. Life is about balance, right? It won’t be 100% productive all the time. I won’t be on my A-game 365 days per year. But I’ve learned to listen to my body, give it what it needs, and accept myself for where I am on any given day.
I used to feel guilty about not following my planner hour-by-hour or checking off all my daily habits. But not anymore. My plans are my guidelines. It doesn’t help to feel guilty. Every day is not the same, despite our attempts to make it so.
I’ve started focusing on creating moments of joy daily. This helps push me to focus on my goals and be productive.
What does finding joy mean? To me, JOY can be a feeling of general contentedness or a moment that brings a smile to your face. It can be simple. Life goes by too fast to always be thinking about the past and the future. By creating moments of joy daily you focus on the journey of life. Every day is worth living.

I’ve created a free printable template to add to your Passion Planner, or any planner of your choosing, and center JOY as part of your routine.
HOW TO USE THE FREE TEMPLATES
STEP ONE: Define JOY for yourself. Everyone has different interests, passions, and likes. I may like planting and growing flowers. Someone else might hate it. Take a few minutes to define what joy means to you.
STEP TWO: Brainstorm activities that could help you find joy. This could be a trial and error activity, which can make it even more fun! Find out what you find as fun that you can do around your apartment and house. Think of things that you could do every day as part of your routine that gets you up from bed. For some, it could be doing a free workout on Youtube to Disney songs. For others (like me), it could be having your cold brew coffee at home and putting it in your favorite tumbler.
STEP THREE: MOST IMPORTANTLY, do the things that make you happy!
There are two templates. One is small to put on your weekly layout and the other is a full sheet (sized for the Small Passion Planner) to help you track your progress monthly.
